Tooth Extraction

Dr. Field may feel at times it is necessary to perform a tooth extraction. There are numerous factors that can contribute to this decision; such as, severe decay, advanced periodontal disease, abscess or infections, orthodontic corrections. Fractured or impacted teeth are the most common extraction procedures needed. Wisdom tooth extractions are a good example of this. X-rays will be taken to determine a plan before the surgery, and follow ups two to three weeks after the extraction are necessary to check the healing process of the surrounding tissue structures.
